SPOILER WARNING: K'tora as a character involves major spoilers for Shadowbringers & beyond. Be forewarned before reading further.META INFORMATION DISCLAIMER: This timeline is presented for context and continuity, but much of this information isn't something K'tora would know or be able to recall accurately. Due to the Echo & glimpsing the past of so many others, her understanding of her past is fragmented and unreliable. While the events here are canon, K'tora wouldn’t remember them this way per se — her narration would be inconsistent, incomplete, or emotionally distorted. This is for the curiosity of the audience and my own records — not K'tora.

• K'tora (née Kae-Tora) is born in Holminster Switch, Lakeland & resides there until it's destruction during the events of Shadowbringers. Herself & her parents are brought to the Crystarium as refugees by the guard. Among the friends she makes are Riqi-Tio, Arkil, and Eirwel, young upstarts with a curious streak.• K'tora witnessed the Starshower in the Crystarium as a pre-tween along with her troupe of friends. This only further spurs the kids' ambitions to do good in the name of the Light.• During the events of the Heroes' Gauntlet, K'tora's parents fled into the Crystal Tower. By happenstance of having the Echo, Elidibus' summoning, and their presence within the actual tower itself, K'tora and her parents are transported through the Rift and delivered to the Source.• Her parents make the decision to leave their time on that 'other' world behind, adapting to where they are in hopes of a bountiful life for their child.• K'tora was raised as a member of the Seekers of the Sun tribe relating to the Hipparion, denoted by the K prefacing their given name.
• K'tora grew up in the K tribe, known for raising "unqiue" miqo'te, namely K'rhid Tia & K'lyhia of the Arcanists Guild in Limsa Lominsa. Her parents still live with the travelling clan, migrating up & down the White Maiden river, tracing the cultural border between Ishgard & the Shroud with the seasons.• Around age 16, having experienced a myriad people's pasts and events of the Source often out of context thanks to her Echo, K'tora's sense of self diverges from how she was born.• K'tora came to learn they preferred the peace of the Shroud cycle-long as they grew into adulthood. Wishing to connect further with this wellspring of life, she appealed the Conjurer's Guild in hopes of undertaking their rites & rituals to make good on her childhood desires.• K'tora has come to the boundaries of her capabilities within the Conjurer's Guild, unable to prove her worth as a White Mage & growing further despondent as her cohort has moved on, leaving her as the last remaining in tutelage.• K'tora has developed a distaste for Ul'dah & Gridania for different reason's as she's been amongst the Eorzean City-State's longer. Feeling less like she belongs with time, K'tora eventually confronts her parents on her muddled understanding of her history.• Currently K'tora is still following the web of questions that've sprung from her revelation in regards to her origins. This has lead her back to the First, where currently, she's stuck!

What began as a misunderstood allergy & a desire to help has blossomed into something unexpected and beautiful. In many ways different but not in an unfamiliar way. Like the mirrored experiences these two have experienced seperately, so too do they stay nearby like one's shadow or their reflection.
